Alpine Graphic Apparel was retained by Paul McNeill, Chief of Administrative Services for the United Nations' Assistance Mission in Darfur, who has helped establish golf courses in three other third-world countries. McNeill develops these golf courses on his own personal time, in addition to his responsibilities with the UN. The Darfur project is Alpine Graphic Apparel's second international venture, after having worked previously with McNeill  for the Kabul Golf Club in Kabul, Afghanistan.
